I don’t have too much comments on this film. A perfect film on visual effects but so-so in the story.

Most of Shanghai’s theater has been equiped with cutting-edge audio, video and environment facilities. It is seldom see “large theater halls”. As shown on the pictures, the hall is not large – I was sitting at the left most seat of the last row.
Hey – I saw that last night too and was going to write a blog about it! I thought that the story was OK, there were some twists, though the parts outside the action did drag a bit.
I was in Shanghai last week and I heard that when House of Flying Daggers came out into the movies, it was the only new movie that came out for that week. So if you wanted to see a movie, that was your only option.
hi,
I wanted to ask if your site can be viewed in china as well as the US? if so which blog site did u sign up with thanks
Not a well commented movie, yet a success in term of profit making. :)
May, there are still some other movies (well, yes, it is the only new movie this week).
Juan, my site is hosted in iPowerWeb. Please visit my Tech/Backstage category for more informtion. It can be viewed in both China and U.S.
Somehow, I am disappointed with this movie. Somehow the story is funny and I can’t help lauching during the film.
I’ve been told that throughout Shanghai, this is the only movie allowed to be played in theatres for a few weeks, guess Zhang Yimou has some important friends somewhere.
Are the people allowed to take their camers within the cinema?
I suppose no. But I didn’t see any sign to ban from it. I took picture before the move starts. The picture on the screen is advertisement. So I think it should be OK.
Good film. Not Zhang Yimou’s best, but better than Hero imo.
i liked hero! actaulyl i like all zhang ziyis movies so im biased
