Added Today in History

Today, I added a new plugin – OnThisDay

The difference is, you will see the “Today in History” section.

This is the MT code in my Individual Archive Template. In case you are also a MovableType blog owner, you may find it interesting.

<div class=”comments-head”>Today in History</div>

<ul>

<MTOnThisDay>

<MTEntries>

<li><$MTEntryDate format=”%b %e, %Y”$>: <a href=”<$MTEntryPermalink$>”><$MTEntryTitle$></a><br>

<small style=”text-decoration:none”><$MTEntryExcerpt$>

</small></li>

</MTEntries>

</MTOnThisDay>

</ul>

This is useful to me to remind me what I did in the last year, the year before last year, and even the two years ago.

For example, I found the entry Second Day in Hong Kong in Jan. How interesting! I am going to Hong Kong tommorrow. Without this feature, I won’t remember that I was also in Hong Kong the same day last year.

Enjoy it and give me some feedback about this feature.

  1. I have read through a lot of your site and you seem very knowledgable. I am traveling to China for a few months to teach english and am scheduled to arrive in Beijing (PEK) at 4:05pm on February 9. I need to make it to JiNan that evening and was wondering if it is smarter to buy my ticket ahead of time and pay the extra fees they charge in the US or if I should wait. There is a flight at 7:05 Air China and then at 10:05 Air China and China Eastern.

    I need to arive in JiNan that evening and would really like to make the 7:05 flight. I was advised by my contact in China that there shouldnt be any difficulty to catch it if I buy my ticket after I arrive but I am nervous that it will fill up.

    Any advise would be helpful!!!!! Feel free to email me at reneeb407@hotmail.com

    Thanks!!!
