Drove 550 km (round trip) from Shanghai to Lin An near Hangzhou (45km away) and visied the Mt. West Tian Mu. I took some pictures of the bamboo wood there.

Haha, I was confused where you were in weekend. I had a outing also – Yangchen Lake for hairness crab. see my blog :)
I think you can capture much more detail of the bamboo like leaf , because it isn’t easy to deliver locale ambience by pocket digital camara … however detail would make the photos to be more interesting.

Bamboo is not wood, it actually belongs to grass family.
