Religiously Waiting

I am going to meet my friend on Sunday and he mailed me and told me where to meet and then he added:

I will religiously wait for you

To do something religiously always yield power that others don’t understand and cannot imagine.

If your friend was speaking English, "Religiously" generally means do to something over and over. I watch my favourite show, The Simpsons, religiously every week.

If someone waited for you religiously they would have to wait for you every day or every week. Otherwise they are just waiting for you patiently.

If your friend was speaking Chinese, then never mind.
