Guangzhou Baiyun Airport is Beautiful

Picture report again - the new Guangzhou Baiyun Airport is beautiful. It moved to a new location and was just opened. The old Baiyun Airport was abondaned.

The new airport is much larger than the current Pudong Airport. The sign board of Baiyun is more clear and bright than those in Pudong. When I arrived at Pudong Airport at 5:30 PM, I saw the construction of the second run way and the second terminal is under construction. Within three years, the already large Pudong Airport will double in size and I hope the traffic will double too with its expansion.

Does anybody else think that contemporary airport architects are creating beautiful structures, and at the same time completely lacking in originality? It's a mystery to me.

There is no reason for the Guangdong government to build an airport such big. I walked about 15 minutes in the airport to reach the gate through those places closed for further expansion, which I think they will not really be used in the next few year.

I believe in the future, Airport operators will spend more time on the software - the warm and welcoming feeling, instead of the hardware.
