Pretty late-minute decision, for a long trip like this. But National Holiday Golden Week seems to approaches much faster than I expected, I mean flight tickets...
P.S. Today, the head of Shanghai government was sentenced to be guilty by the central government - a series of high-level politics stuff. Expected, and no surprise...

The chief officer of Shanghai Government is only removed from his present positions pending for investigation, he is only condemned, not yet convicted.

time ago I found your blog looking for chinese town pictures because I put some or them in my blog, here.
so, among tons of beautifull pictures and the rest, I read about your employments and the ebay one in particular.
I'm selling my art paint on ebay and I wish to try china ebay too.
the big problem is that to sell with ebay in one country it's supposed to know the language of that country.
but I should need only a little help to find out the category in wich to sell.
may I ask you this help?
if yes I'll better explain my need.

Sydney Opera House, Australia, built 1957 to 1973, a opera house, of tile-clad concrete ( in the first and 2nd photo ) and precast concrete, in a temperate, urban waterfront area, in Expressionist Modern style.
33 years after completion the opera house is still attract tourist ( who doesn't go there for the performance at all ). Is it worth all the difficultlity and cost ?
Shanghai also have a beautiful opera house !

Just like Oriental Pearl of Shanghai, the Eiffel Tower of Paris, Golden Gate Bridge of San Francisco and Big Ban of London, these are the symbols of the cities they represent and are the 'must see' of every visitor.
The Opera House is a true Danish design ! (by Jørn Utzon)

carsten, yes, wikipedia is blocked in China since last october due to failure to compromise on content filter with the Chinese authority.
But I have good news for you, the authority is aggressively preparing baidupedia to replace wikipedia and I am sure you'll find fun with that in due course.

Baidupedia is a chinese controlled search engine, so I refuse to use that for my searches. Then I only have 10 % of the choices on other search engines.
Solopolo, it is not corruption that is the problem, but the "only big brother" is.
Just a last story - today I couldn't get into my workplace (a big one) because some "CCP black car asshole" should arrive 2 hours later, so everything stopped. The chinese are SO afraid of those !!!
I waited for 20 minutes...
Hahaha, I'm foreigner you know, so then I said to the guards that I had to attend a meeting with "the big guy that will come today", and swoooshh - I got in as fast
as a hare can run. Ohh, those assholes in black cars :-(

By the way, Brother Jianshuo, i still remember clearly that u came to my class to tell us how can be a good student having a successful college career TEN YEARS ago! but unforturnately at that time i kept interests to listen of your high-school mate Chu Xiangfeng. So I became an architect, not a software engineer.
