Happy Autumn Festival (Mid-moon Festival) everyone! I just had wonderful moon cake with Wendy at home. There are clouds in the sky in Shanghai but the moon is clearly seen behind the cloud.

Jim and I watched the moon come up from behind the far hills last night. I will think of you and Wendy when we admire it again this evening :-)
Happy Autumn Festival to you and your friends and family!

Ying and I enjoyed a walk through China Town (Sydney) where she had a moon cake.
I must admit, I don't actually like moon cakes. I find them too sweet and too heavy - but I like the symbolism of sharing and showing your friends and family that you are thinking of them.
Our next Mid Autumn Festival (Moon Cake Festival I always remember it as) will be in Shanghai - so I look forward to sharing it with Ying and her family.
Happy Mid Autumn Festival !
The moon is bright last night.

Autumn is my favorite season, and it's one of the few comfortable times to be in the city these days. The air is crisp and cool, pencils are sharpened, I pull on my corduroy jacket and head to work every morning with a smile on my face and wind in my hair.
