PVG: From PVG to Ningbo

We get in to PVG at 3:25 pm and need to get to Ningbo. Can we take the bus directly from Pudong Airport to Ningbo? I have seen answers on the blog that say yes and others that say go to town and get bus or train. The train schedule does not look good if I am reading it right. (No train until 19:15) If there is a direct bus, does one leave around 4:30 or 5:00pm?
Is a bus from PVG to the bus station in Shanghai to get a bus to Ningbo a better idea, i.e. faster or cheaper?

There is direct bus from Pudong Airport to Ningbo. You have transit to train or long distance bus.

The best way is like this:

Pudong Airport to Ning Bo via Shanghai Railway Station

Take Airport Bus #5 to Shanghai Railway Station.
Buy train ticket from Shanghai to Ningbo.

Hello every one, I am from Canada, I will like to come to shanghai & go to Yiwu city. when I reach to Shanghai Airport PVG, what should I do

1. Take a bus or train to Down town railway station, which station should I go to, the shanghai, or southern rail way station?

2.How to buy the ticket,should I go to special reservation office for foreigners or stand in the line, which window do approach to, for my distination ,times & fares?

3.How should I find ,which train no,from which plate form is going to Yiwu city ? any body has any information,please write. Thank you - ray

Dear Sushil, I wanted to come to China myself, I have searched internet,I found the following info,You try it too.

Fist take Bus no 5 ,From Shanghai airport, cost 18 RMB, to Shanghai railway station,behind the railway station is long distance bus station,go there ,buy the Bus ticket for Nigbo,if you prefer rail,then go to soft chair waiting room,there is a spacial counter for foreigners,buy rail ticket there & go to Nigbo, make sure which plat form & which train you are taking.

if you have free internet,go to Googal,type your destination, you will get the answer,in Canada,we have 24 hours free internet,so I alway search on goo gal.

People who want to go to Ningbo from PVG, can take plane to Ningbo airport..if you wish

You can ask ticket office in PVG for details.

I arrived in PVG in July.6th by Emirates on 3:25PM,then take the plane on about 22:00 to ningbo airport to PVG

Hello, I am going to visit Hangzhou in a few days, the airplane is scheduled to touch down in Shanghai airport around the time of midnight. Can someone please tell me when is the departure time early in the morning for the first bus from the airport to Hangzhou? and when the is departure time for the last bus leaving the airport to Hangzhou?

You don't need to depart from airport unless you choose to stay in one of the three possible hotels near the airport - may not be a good idea. You can take train from Shanghai South Railway Station.

Hi,

I will arrive in Pudong airport around 6 PM. I plan to go to Shaoxing, but since the time is late, I can also stay in Hangzhou for a night. I wonder if I can catch any long distance buses, either to Hangzhou or ShaoXing? I found the schedules are quite old, I wonder if there are any updates. Thanks,
