This is the third time I am in Hong Kong. It is cloudy. The city does not look as charming as it was. After dinner, I walked back to hotel and took the following pictures as my memory of the short trip in Jan, 2006.

P.S. To answer Reno’s question, the picture 3 and 4 are slow shuttle and move the camera while taking the picture. It took about one second for exposure, and the colorful lights leave their tails as recorded in the picture.

As to those 2 pics, I always see similar ones on illustrations from the National Geographic Magazine, and I would have thought that it’s all about post-modernistic photography.

I took MU (China Eastern Airlines) to Hong Kong and KA (Dragon Airlines) back due to availibity of the flight. Don’t worry about March. Only the Spring Festival (around end of Jan), May holiday (first 7 days of may) and Oct (first 7 days) are rush days, and it is very hard to get ticket. For the rest of the time, it should be OK.

I am also planning on a short trip to HongKong together with a friend – a mainland chinese from shanghai. Can you please tell me about the visa-regulations for him? You must have experienced it several times. Where and how to apply for a visiting visa as a Shanghainese? How long does it take?
I also read about your Shenzhen-HongKong trip in 2004. Do you know if this information is still accurate? A value trip would suit us just fine. :-D

Can anyone tell me what is the best rate PVG/HKG and return in Shanghai, I heard the local rate is deeply discounted while my agent is still charging me full C$600+ for the same passage.
