Metro city is the traditional gathering place to buy these products. Here is the location:

The nearby Pacific Digital Plaza is also a good place to go.

Cyber Digital Plaza

They offer the best price, but it is too crowded inside. Be aware of pocket pickers. Many of the goods there are pirated (imported without tax), so there is no warrantee. Please be aware of the risks before going there.

i bought a digital camera during the national holidays in cyber plaza. the price there was quite reasonable because i had checked the price level on internet. it is very important if you want to buy anything there or you can require price in different stores.good luck.

Hey,

Do you (or anyone else) know where I can find the secondhand electronics markets I've heard about? I've heard there's a few in shanghai, but I can't seem to find them. Since I'm new to Shanghai detailed locations (i.e. exact street names or metro stops) would be greatly appreciated. Also, I am looking for a replacment charger for my iPod becuase I left mine at home, any idea where I could find that in Shanghai?

The ad from Skymobile World Inc selling electrical gear and phones is a scam. This rolland coolman gets you to send the money via western union and then you do not get the goods. they then ask you to send more money because the wrong package was sent and it had extra phones etc in it. The only way they say they will release it is to pay their amount. In my case it was $2000 more. After numerous phone calls and over 50 emailsa i still have nothing and they say the only way they can rectify this is to send more money. I have reported them to the australian federal police and the relevant authorities

This market is also great for getting connecting wires, switches etc that are not easily locatable in other countries.
