Beautiful fight back, SImo. I wonder what the “due disciplinary measures” are. I am looking to see if there is any further investigation of this issue. Please keep us updated. Thanks.

Easiest way – turn off Messenger service

The easist way to stop receiving this kind of message is to turn off Windows Messenger service. If you are running Windows XP, following these steps:

  • Click Start button on your toolbar.
  • Click Run…
  • Enter “Services.msc” (without quotation marks) and click OK.
  • Browse the list till you find “Messenger” in Name column
  • Right click and click “Stop” on the pop up menu. That is not all. If you don’t want the service to start the next time you start your computer, continue with the following steps:
  • Double click it. The Messenger Properties (Local Computer) dialog box comes out.
  • Choose “Disable” in “Startup type” drop down box.
  • Click OK.

  1. please quit sending this spam to me. It’s bad when you are in the middle of a game and this ad pops up and ruins the game.

  2. I get complain about the golarger spam on my message board, like John’s and Linda’s. Refer to the two messages above.

I believe anyone who read about the content of this page know that I have nothing to do with the annoying spam. I just one of the thousands of people who want to stop the spam. By dropping “please quit sending this spam to me” on this board does not help.

  3. This golarger.com ripp me off $90.00 on penis enlargement these sons of bitches are real con artist……AP

  4. Arthur pena, what happened? Did golarger.com finacially ripp you off $90.00 without delivering good? If so, they are more than spammer – it is cheatting.

  6. GoLarger’s message was delivered to me through M$’s Messenger Service, something I never used and hardly knew was installed. It flashed as soon I moved my mouse after returning to my pc upon a few hours of leaving it.

I live in Thailand. I was motivated to make a pilgramage to Texas to remove Mr. Green’s testicles, until I read this thread and noticed that register.com reports golarger’s domain(www.largewinner.com) differently than as found by Wangjian.

Microsoft: I will remove your balls if given the chance.

    golarger: ditto

  7. Mike, to be honest, I am not very clear about your last comment. I am not sure what it means by “I was motivated to make a pilgramage to Texas to remove Mr. Green’s testicles, until I read this thread and noticed that register.com reports golarger’s domain(www.largewinner.com) differently than as found by Wangjian. ”

and what does “Microsoft: I will remove your balls if given the chance.” mean.

    :-)

  8. start-controlpanel-administrativetools

    -services

scroll down until you find messenger, right click and under run on startup, change it to disabled

I agree that the company(ies) producing net send spam should be prosecuted, but in the mean time this should help rid you of annoying text pop ups.

  9. Thanks a lot for the Services tip, I have just disabled it and hope that annoying popup will stop. Is it a security issue from the Messenger service ? That’s weird because I only found one reference on Google about it… That thread.

    Thanks again!

    JM

  10. I is not a security issue for Windows. Actually, the spam is not security issue. Every computer has an IP, every person has an email account, telephone number and mobile number. It makes possible for your friends to contact you. Spammer just the uninvited visitors who got your contact information (IP address in the NET SEND SPAM case), and send it to you. There is no simple way to distingish the friendly contact and the spam contact – that is the reason spam is such a big problem here.

  11. I am sick and tired of “golarger.com” “stopmessenger.com” and “blockmessenger.com”. T have high speed internet and I leave my connection live while I am away, when I come back I have to close about 10 windows from these pop up ads. it is really a pain. What can be done to stop this ??

  12. Please stop sending me your messages. It’s very inconvenient.Truly an invasion of my SPACE.. Thanks but no thanks, Mrs.Houtman

  13. I hate pop ups as much as all of you. From what I have been reading, if you all don’t already know, they are called messenger spam. Isn’t it funny how you are hit with pop-ups advertising a product that will rid you of what they’re hitting you with. Well upon searching I found instructions posted on the University of Auburn Website to stop the pop-ups. Listed on the site are about 4 steps telling you how to configure your user settings and stop these once and for all because it turns off your internal messenger service (don’t worry it can be turned back on anytime as said on the website). Above all the steps are free. Just copy and paste the link below. Hope this helps someone.

  14. I also was getting verrryy anoyed with those stupid pop ups, didn’t know i could turn them off…..thanks for the tip ya’ll!

  15. no problem, disabling the msger is the ez solution.

if you need any other support or just wanna chat

  16. i had 2 pop ups realy pissing me off endads anb blockmessenger the later took me to your site hope thats the end of those annoying little shits

  17. Thanks. That ENDADS one was really pissing me off. Any hackers out there – this place deserves your worst!

    Cheers

  18. How do I remove ENDADS.COM and how do you get them shut down. They are the only pop up I get.

  19. Brilliant thanks for the info to stop this crappy pop up.

I agree 100% with all the comments already posted and would quite happily see ALL SPAMMERS terminated at birth !!

  20. I just purchased a new PC and never had spam problems from SPAM companies. I always thought there was a way to get rid of it instead of paying off a monopoly company not to bother me. It is the equvilant to the computer mob. I followed the directions 5 minutes ago and usually have had to close out 10 pop ups back to back by now so it is working. Thanks SOOOO much.

  21. lol, all of those are already spreaded out in the internet. Some say that it’s their job without them knowing that they are disturbing ppl already. If you guys don’t want to receive spam, do not show your email address or put your email address on useless blogs or porn sites.
