Went to watch the movie at the Super Brand Mall in Pudong. The discount price is only 30 RMB per person, not bad.
After the show, Wendy concluded the story in simple words:
What a sad story!
The husand boy became an ugly animal,
The beauty died at last,
Two babies lost their parents.
Sigh!

Finally.... This is exactly what I felt when I watched this movie...Good thing I had a free ticket..but a waste of my time. The revenge was on us.

As a stand-alone movie, it's decent - not great, not bad. As the last in a series of prequels, it closes the gap on many unanswered questions for the sequels.

Did your wife know that she is watching a prequel? If I am not mistaking, there is total of 6 parts. George Lucas make the latter 3 movies first (20 plus years ago), You have to tell your wife to watch the next part, that is when their children is grown up. ie, (Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia).
Posted by: Tony on June 17, 2005 6:47 PMOnly watched it to complete the story. No surprises for me at all, everything as I imagined. Guess everyone knew about Lucas's story well enough. The acting was better than 2, pity for the actors--it was the wrong film to be in, they get blamed whatever they do--it simply isn't anywhere near the original.
