Hey, where are my IKEA pictures? I looked into my picture archives and found some. They were taken one year ago, exactly after the new IKEA store opened in Shanghai.

Posted by: Jian Shuo Wang (external link) on May 30, 2004 11:55 PMIt's fun you enjoy IKEA. I'm from Sweden myself. Great blog you have here, I will be reading here frequently in the future. I am thinking about studying chinese + economics and this is a good resource for finding out more than the "standard" stuff. Thanks!
Posted by: Jens-Leo on May 31, 2004 8:38 AMHi Jian Shuo Wang,
You might remember me contacting you previously. I am currently at The University of Melbourne, and I am writing my thesis on consumerism in China.
I just wanted to ask you if I could use some of your IKEA photos in my thesis?
Thanks,
Adrienne

Posted by: Jun on October 6, 2005 12:22 PMI kind of agree with 'Jun'. My experience is that a little percentage of their furniture is worth buying. I heard that Shanghai Ikea employees do not buy their furniture where they work but rather go to see local factories such as www.link-j-furniture.com
