My Wireless Dream

Sounds great. I think the wireless gateway may be more suitable for home use. I mean such product that can act as ADSL modem as well as wireless hub so that one at home could access the home lan and outer network anywhere.

On my first search with Google, I found a pile of Walkie Talkies. Don't understand some problems.
For those who prefer not to waste time, hack up a couple of analog cordless phones, you have cheap
working walkie talkies. Tap the local oscill in 2 portable fm radio's ( cheap ones ), and again you have walkie talkies, just add an electret preamp. Any reciever is already a mini transmitter. Hell, modulate a flash light with an audio amp. Modulate your tv's vertical. Did you know your worthless old AM CB is a good video transmitter with 4watts out ?. I did those things as a child, with no university help, just a lot of reading. THINK !.
