Hotels for Events in Shanghai

A large portion of emails are from event organizers about hotel and meeting facilities in Shanghai. Shanghai is a hot place for holding international meetings. It is more exciting for many people coming from abroad - how cool it is to take the chance to tour the city? It is one of the most rewarding experience for meeting attendants. “I never been to Asia before.”; “This is my first trip to China and I am both excited and anicious…” are often found in the emails. Microsoft had host many internal global meetings in Shanghai and some global external meetings already. So does Intel and other multi-national companies.

Let me share my personal experience with the hotels.

JW Marriot

JW Mariott at People Square is the one I had great experience. I can not find a hotel with better location in Shanghai. It is at the People’s Square, where is treated as the center of the city. The service there is nice. I didn’t worried about their service quality at all. They have cafeteria at the 38th floor. I have pictures in my previous blog with better view than Jin Mao Tower. On Jin Mao Tower, you look westward and see the whol Shanghai city. On JW Marriot, the views of the four directions are as spendid as each other - you feel as surrounded.
