Chinatown Bus v.s. Greyhound/Peter Pan
By Jian Shuo Wang on 2004-12-24 09:57 · West Meets EastWe took the Peter Pan back to New York from Boston. I’d love to take Chinatown bus back but the experience from New York to Boston with Chinatown Buses was really not so nice. The bus delayed for 1 hour. Since there were no waiting room, we stood on the street for 1 hour while it was snowing. We analysized reason why China town buses can keep the price low. Here are some reasons.
It does not need to accept credit card so it reduce the cost of credit company service charge, the credit cheating cost and the machine cost (so the training cost to enable people to use the machines were also cut)
It does not need to advertise for its business. The low price is the best advertisement.
